Mithaq (ميثاق)

Mithaq is a Jordanian platform for contractor agreements. Sign with a one-time code, pay each stage after you approve the work, and get a signed receipt.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is Mithaq?

Mithaq is a contract and payment documentation platform. You sign the contract digitally with your contractor, split into clear milestones. You pay the contractor directly for each milestone once you approve the completed work, and they sign a digital receipt confirming it. Simply put: you pay after you see the work, not before, and every step is documented.

Does Mithaq hold my money?

No. Mithaq never touches your money. You pay your contractor directly via CliQ. Our role is to document the contract and payments, and make sure every payment is verified by both parties with a one-time code.

What's the "mobilization deposit" (Arboun)?

Some contracts set the first milestone as an upfront deposit ("Arboun"). You pay it to the contractor right when you both sign, so they can buy materials and reserve their schedule before any actual work happens. If you change your mind afterward, but before work has started on any other milestone, you can exit the contract, you'll just forfeit the deposit you already paid. Once real work has begun on another milestone, this exit option is no longer available.

What if I have a disagreement with the contractor?

Tap "Request Revision" on the milestone and explain exactly what's missing, and the contractor resubmits the corrected work. Payment doesn't move until you're fully satisfied with the result.

How much does Mithaq charge?

Mithaq is free for clients. A contractor's first 5 contracts are free; after that, sending new contracts needs a 20 JOD/month subscription. There is no commission on any payment, and a contract cancelled before it is signed gives its free slot back.

How do I get started?

Find a contractor on the contractors page and send them a request with your phone number. The contractor writes the contract with its stages and sends it to that number. You sign up with it, review the contract, and sign it with a one-time code.

(For Contractors) How and when do I get paid?

The client pays you directly via CliQ the moment they approve each milestone. The money goes straight to your own account and never passes through Mithaq. You sign a digital receipt confirming it, and the next milestone unlocks automatically.

(For Contractors) What if the client doesn't review my submitted work?

If you submit proof of completion and the client doesn't respond within 7 days (no approval and no revision request), the milestone auto-approves so you're not left waiting indefinitely for payment.

(For Contractors) What if a client won't approve my work?

If they request a revision, they must specify exactly what's missing. You resubmit the corrected work and they review it again. Every exchange is timestamped, so there's no room for open-ended stalling or 'forgetting' the original agreement.

(For Contractors) How do I join as a contractor?

Register a contractor account for free, select your specializations, and go through a quick review by our team to verify your details. After that, you can write contracts and send them to your clients, and get requests from clients who find you on the contractors page.
